The dilemma of naming a wine label after a family surname: Brewer! As our namesake suggests we do brew a beverage but our ingredient of choice being high quality grapes.

The B series is a premium selection of wines individually crafted from the finest fruit parcels of each vintage. The wines are carefully handled from fruit to bottle, barrel aged and selected based on intensity and structure, the most standout wines of each vintage makeup the B Series.

Yarran Wines B Series Chardonnay

B Series 2017 Yenda Chardonnay

Winemakers notes

A classic Chardonnay style matured in new and used French barrels. This wine is produced with minimal intervention; un-clarified juice is fermented with native yeast and warm temperatures. The wine is left to age with lees stirring for a 9 month period.

Stonefruit, almond aromas with a creamy and subtle buttery texture. A medium bodied white with great appeal.

Enjoy with a antipasto platter.

Winemakers notes

A style with deep purple, inky colour and firm tannin structure. Similar to a full bodied Shiraz with intense plum and dark fruit flavours, this wine is aged in new and used 300lt American oak barrels and has a silky mocha & chocolate finish. A full style with amazing length and depth of flavour.

B Series 2017 Yenda Petit Verdot

Winemakers notes

A Bordeaux variety with the translation “small green” which is referring to the berries during ripening; the berries when ready to harvest do remain small but have a deeply coloured purple, thick skin. The grape variety Petit Verdot performs very well in the local climate as we have a warm, dry end to Autumn and being a later ripening vine it is possible to get full, optimum ripness in the grapes. It produces wines similar to Cabernet Sauvignon but with more floral, herbal aromatics and a soft finish with firm tannin.

B Series 2016 Heathcote Shiraz

Winemakers notes

Fruit is sourced from an elevated block on the Colbinabbin vineyard in Heathcote, Victoria. Low yields, reduced irrigation and careful sunlight exposure produce grapes with rich flavour and intensity.

The resulting wine is inky, purple in colour with violet and dark fruitcake aromas. Thick, chewy tannins compliment a luscious palate of spice, pepper and toasty American oak. 12 months + barrel maturation have softened tannin, not withstanding this is still a full bodied red with great aging potential and powerful weight.
